Edmund Oswald Teale 1874-1971

Born in Melbourne, Australia.

Teale's surname was "Thiele" until 1917 when he anglicised it to Teale. Created a knight in 1936 during Colonial service in Tanganyika. Field geologist with Geological Survey of Victoria. Fellow of the Geological Society for 61 years After working in Australia and New Zealand he then Worked in Africa.
