The virtual data centre (VDC) provides information on the form of and location of data created by the 31 research projects in the NERC Ocean Margins LINK Programme. A large quantity of data has been collected by the programme.

Since many projects have more than one grant award, to avoid duplication the data are stored within one project area. Details are given in the project abstracts. Projects that do not contain data are shown in a smaller font in the project list.

The VDC allows searching for data by geographical location (in various ways), data type, keyword and also by project.

Many documents/data files will be available for direct download free of charge from the VDC. Larger data files can be made available by contacting BGS Enquiries. Please note there may be a charge for requesting large data files from BGS Enquries to cover staff costs and administration.

The final project in the programme comes to an end in early 2008 and it is anticipated that the data will be held by the National Geoscience Data Centre from that time.
