Geoscience baselines
Our
research on environmental geoscience baselines (EGB) provides a regional
and national knowledge base on the physical and chemical properties
of the UK surface environment. We provide information for decision-making
in government and industry and underpin environmental research into
healthy and sustainable environments.
The baseline data and samples provide a reference point against which natural and man-made impacts on the changing environment can be measured. Our team of geoscientists also provides international leadership in baseline mapping.
